In 1980, Gerald A. Krueger founded Detroit-based
American Community Developers, Inc. ("ACD"). ACD has been primarily involved in
the acquisition and rehabilitation of existing affordable housing developments
in several states, and is recognized nationally as a leader in the affordable
housing industry. ACD's team of highly-experienced real estate professionals
with backgrounds in various disciplines assure the company's success and
continued growth in an ever-changing development landscape. The ACD portfolio
currently includes 74 properties and
10,066 units in 9 states. Most
properties have HUD Project Based Section 8 subsidy contracts. ACD is also the
parent organization to St. Clair Construction Company, a general contractor
that specializes in apartment rehabilitation.
